Recap Of Nashville, TN While We’re On The Way To Knoxville

Thursday 11/15/07 5:51 pm eastern time

I know I said I’d be updating this everyday, but yesterday was effin’ CRAZY…its always great being home and seeing and spending time with the one(s) you love most in your life…we had so much crap to do…like a little girl, I had to be down in Nashville to get my wig split…and it was pouring down rain, so that made things even slower…then we did the WALMART in-store signing and acoustic performance around 5…the turnout was great and we played “Hear Me Now” and “Capeside” acoustic for everyone, signed some CDs and posters, answered some questions, took some pictures, all that jazz…then it was time for another show we’d been looking forward to this whole tour…so we headed down to the legendary Exit/In…we weren’t planning on too huge of a crowd just because of the fact it was an 18+ show on a wednesday night and Chris Cornell was playing Nashville the same night, as well as Yellowcard at another venue, and Family Force Five at another venue…we were wrong…the venue was sold out and jam packed…when we took the stage it was one of the best moments of my career so far, and i think its safe to speak on behalf of the band in saying that they felt the same way…as soon as the first hi-hat was hit and with the first guitar chord and with “Nashville, Tennessee…we are Framing Hanley, and we are HOOOOME!” the place was livid…we started out with “Home” (clever, right?…lol) and played most of the cd, and the whole time we were up there I was truly in another world…a few of us are still sick as hell, but last night we could care less…we were there to show Nashville what we’re all about out on the road, and let them know that we want everyone in this country to know how Nashville, TN can “bring the ruckus”…speaking of “bringing the ruckus,” a fight broke out in the crowd early in the set and security threw a couple of people out and I couldn’t find our boy Larry, so after the song while they were kicking these dudes out I yelled out “Where’s Larry?!”…then he pops outta nowhere with a “I’m here man”…it was a huge relief, because we would’ve stopped that damn show until they brought Larry back inside last night, because it ain’t the same without Larry…lol…anywho, the crowd was awesome all night and I saw lots of people that I hadn’t seen in 4+ years, with alot of them not even knowing i was IN Framing Hanley…lol

now we’re on our way to Knoxville…I slept most of the way here…it’ll be a tough task topping last night, but Knoxville should still be a blast

until next time, love to you all

  1. I’m glad to hear that you all had a great time back home doing what you do best. The concert sounds like it was amazing.. as always. WALMART must have been pretty awesome, too. I’m jealous.. wish I could have been there. Anyway, I hope you continue to feel better if you’re not already. Take care :)

  2. I love reading your blog…even though there are only two entries so far it is lovely when you can read the words of one of your favorite musicians. :)

I wish I could have been in Nashville for the show. Stupid school getting in the way. <_<

  6. Yay! I was there, getting a Nixon sweat shower every time you tossed your head. :) Aside from that, it was one of the best nights of my life. Didn’t get to talk to you afterward (sniffle) but look for me next time you play a show here. I hope you’re unsick now, or getting there at least. By the way, you totally didn’t make up that word… I’ve been using it for years. :)
